2024 Final Quarter Goals

We have 3 months until 2024 is over and I thought it would be good to make a list of all the things I want to do before we greet the new year. I don't expect to complete them all, but it'll be nice to have something to refer to when I feel stuck. The through line is they thrill me and I greatly look forward to them and therefore my life.

Online

  1. Send a substack newsletter at the beginning of the month and at its ending (0/6)
  2. Upload a project (new, old, ongoing) to my website each week (0/13)
  3. Make a total of 75 close call constraints (27/75)
  4. Blog at least 4x a week (0/51)
  5. Update Substrates leaflet (a new cooler & smoother way to make a doc) at least 2x a week. It’s where I list objects I’ve hoarded and repurpose them with storytelling ideas (0/28)

  1. Take a photo with /E\ finally
  2. Take another one at the Japanese sticker booth at Mitsuwa

Reading Material

  1. Donate/gift 84 books (0/84)

  5. Make San Francisco Ferry Terminal Plaza dropoff post on my abandonedb2dbc IG account, where I document book packages I wanna leave for a lucky stranger in public
  6. Figure out the next Abandoned package and begin the endeavor, doesn’t need to be dropped this year UNLESS you’re visiting a city you never been to before OR you discovered the perfect spot and its perfect timing

Film

  3. Make that 2-3 minute film poem from San Francisco footage and dymo label tape for Visual Poetry class at Millennium Film Workshop
  4. Submit it to at least one film poem festival after further editing.

Growth

Art

  1. Alter 7 blocks of color in “an ache” per day. A long-term artwork for a future show where I transform a bookmark shaped Pantone Color Matching System of 2000+ color blocks into an ongoing diary & canvas (0/623)
  2. Figure out the souvenir and acts for my role as an Art Nurse for Day de Dada at the Art in Odd Places: Care. Happening on Sunday, October 20th on 225 West 14th Street. I always wanted to participate and attend Art in Odd Places and this is the only way I wanna be a nurse hehe. Can’t wait!
  3. Do 7 guerrilla art actions (0/7)

Zines

  1. Attend 3 zine events I’m not tabling at (0/3)
  2. Participate in a IRL zine swap.
  3. Apply to five events to vend at [0/5]
  4. Make homophone themed (ei/i/eye) which will be my tears of joy photo zine, for zine of the month club and mail it out. If you’d like to join, fill out this form

Camera

  1. Get 3 film rolls & one-time use cameras developed (0/4)
  2. Use up what’s left of the instax film Stephanie gifted me, along with the fujifilm camera. Maybe come up with a cohesive theme for the subjects or a story. A possible zine

  11. Get my new vintage 1956 Royal Aristocrat Typewriter I won at a Goodwill auction serviced at Gramercy Typewriter Company which I always wanted to visit.
