Words I Held

Hey I’m back

I haven’t written here in a long time but I want to start again. One of my new year’s resolutions is to update this website somehow. Whether it’’s a blog, adding a page, updating with a finished project, etc. I’d like to aim for everyday which is the same timeframe I’m doing for all my other new year desires. But that’s a lot of pressure. I found myself feeling overwhelmed and at a physical standstill on the 1st for at least twenty minutes, trying to figure out what to do first. I have a bunch of calendars and planners, most I got for free, designating each one with a specific task. Some are hanging on my bedroom wall. I don’t want to feel discouraged if I don’t get to cross out a day with a completion, so maybe I’ll count working on it as a check off.

Luckily for the website, it doesn’t take long to write up a short blog. I’ll make a visual post of all the calendars and planners I’m using. When I go thrifting with my boyfriend /E\ this weekend, I want to pick up a dry erase board where I can list all daily tasks and do check boxes, that way I don’t have to write out the list every single day.

2025 will be an amazing year for me. It’s already starting off well with me submitting an artwork for a Valentine’s Day Love theme art show in Brooklyn. A distressed wooden 9 drawer apothecary cabinet full of surprises galore hehe. At some point I’ll share the contents as if I get accepted it, it’ll be on view for one day and I’d love for more folks to see it.

I’m glad I get to be me. Which is something you would never catch me saying when I was in my teens or early 20s. I’m grateful I got to realize my glory finally and I hope I always will.
